Work Structure:
- Based at our Houston, TX office in a hybrid capacity, with a combination of onsite & remote workdays.
- Willingness to travel to our global supplier base up to 20% of the time or more.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Cost Engineer – Global Sourcing to strengthen our Procurement Team at INNIO. The Direct Materials Procurement Team at INNIO is responsible for all procurement activities and ensures the timely delivery of cost-effective materials that meet the highest quality standards. The INNIO Procurement Team is an essential part of the company and plays a critical role in ensuring that INNIO’s future products continue to exceed market and customer expectations.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and conduct cost analyses with a focus on suppliers and the market to enable informed procurement decisions.
- Implement target costing for procurement in new product initiatives (NPIs) as well as ongoing projects.
- Lead benchmarking initiatives and market assessments.
- Support the identification and integration of new technologies.
- Conduct cross-functional analyses to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support and promote the Design-to-Cost approach to optimize product costs.
- Conduct supplier visits to identify and implement cost-saving potentials.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline with several years of professional experience (apprenticeship/technical college/university)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes in various areas of component manufacturing and assembly; prior manufacturing engineering experience a plus.
- Experience with component cost calculations.
- Excellent analytical skills, initiative, commitment, assertiveness, and team spirit.
- Independent and structured working style with absolute reliability.
